Roberto Martinez is closing in on new signings as Moyes eyes former players
Everton FC are preparing to fight off a £50m joint bid from Manchester United for Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines.
Manchester United are expected to submit an imminent joint bid for the pair with Fellaini is valued at £28m and Baines £20.
New United boss David Moyes has already had an initial £12m offer for Baines categorically refused in June by his Everton, who have declared he is not for sale. Fellaini’s £23m release clause has now expired.

Meanwhile, Everton are closing in on Belgium international defender Toby Alderweireld from Ajax.
The 24-year-old can play in the centre of defence or at right-back and only has 12 months remaining on his contract in Amsterdam.
Finally, West Ham are closing in on former Goodison favourite and Besiktas star Manuel Fernandes.
