Everton transfer speculation today sees Roberto Martinez reportedly turning to Osasuna striker Oriol Riera following the departure of Nikica Jelavic.

The 27 year-old, who originally came through Barcelona’s ranks, recently joined Osasuna from Alcorcón and has scored seven times in 15 appearances so far this season.

However, any move for striking target Michy Batshuayi appears to have hit a sticking point.

Everton will have to pay £7million immediately to sign their top striking target Michy Batshuayi from Standard Liege.

Meanwhile, Martinez has reportedly slapped a £25million price tag on Seamus Coleman and has warned former Blues boss David Moyes to stay away from his Irish star.

Finally, Johnny Heitinga is hoping to join Newcastle after snubbing a move to West Ham.

Rumour One

Roberto Martinez is eyeing Osasuna striker Oriol Riera this month as “a possibility” as the Spaniard looks to bring in striking reinforcements to cover the injured Arouna Kone and the departure of Nikica Jelavic.

Rumour Two

Everton will have to pay £7million immediately to sign their top striking target Michy Batshuayi from Standard Liege.

The Belgians are upset about Roberto Martinez’s interest in their powerful young attacker – and the fact the Toffees know about the 20-year-old’s ‘price clause.’

And they have told the Goodison club that they must meet the figure in one payment, and make it straight away.

Martinez was hoping to land Batshuayi as Hull target Nikica Jelavic’s potential replacement and pay the fee in instalments, but Standard – who sold Marouane Fellaini to Everton in 2009 – will stick to the letter of the contract.

While Standard want Batshuayi to stay for the rest of the season, the player fancies the move – and there have been talks.

Rumour Three

Martinez has slapped a £25million price tag on Seamus Coleman – and has warned former Toffees boss David Moyes to stay away from his Irish star.

The Everton boss has been blown away by Coleman’s progress this season and is ready to rip up his current contract – signed just 12 months ago – and replace it with an improved £65,000-a-week deal.

Man United chief Moyes has been linked with a move for the full-back – who signed for just £60,000 five years ago – but a source close to Martinez said: “Money talks to an extent but unless bidding starts at £25m, clubs are wasting their time.”
