Everton boss Martinez to move for Japanese star and Scottish international
Everton have been linked with both Feyenoord’s Leroy Fer and Celtic’s Aiden McGeady (right)Everton FC boss Roberto Martinez is keen to make Japan midfielder Keisuke Honda his first signing since checking in as David Moyes’ successor at Goodison because of concerns about Marouane Fellaini’s future.
Honda wants to join his international team-mate Shinji Kagawa in the top flight after seeing out his deal with CSKA Moscow.
Meanwhile, Aiden McGeady looks to be heading for Everton in a £4million deal. New Goodison boss Roberto Martinez is a long-term admirer of the 27-year-old and tried to buy him for Wigan in January.
In other Everton transfer news, Norwich manager Chris Hughton is trying to beat the Blues to sign Wigan striker Arouna Kone.
