Everton FC are weighing up a swoop for Austria Vienna’s prolific striker Philipp Hosiner.

The Austrian club want £5million for the 24-year-old who scored 32 goals in 34 games last season. Crystal Palace scouts watched him score in the Austrian Bundesliga opener last Saturday.

Everton are also monitoring Rayo Vallecano left-back Jose Manuel Cassado in case Manchester United are successful in their pursuit of Leighton Baines.

Roberto Martinez admits he cannot guarantee that Everton will hang on to Leighton Baines and Marouane Fellaini this summer.

Everton have rejected a £12million bid for England left-back Baines, while Arsenal are tracking Fellaini.

Martinez says Everton have not received any new offers for either star, but admits he may be unable to stop them going if they want to leave Goodison.

Final farewell to ‘Cannonball Kid’ Dave Hickson.

Everton fans must wait to see Gerard Deulofeu in action until Blues USA tour.
