Everton FC juror Mike Drummond: Great end to season for EFC

WHAT a great end to the season for us!

Quality football has been on show for a while, and from January onwards we were showing Champions League form.

However, that’s the issue – January onwards!

For three seasons now, we have seen our latter season efforts come to nothing because we have had a mountain to climb since Christmas.

It’s probably no coincidence that signing players have given us a boost so I hope that we do our business early. If we have to sell someone, then do it quickly so we can spend, not holding on until the last minute when they will end up going anyway.

Pienaar, a wide right player and a forward to support Jelavic I feel are three key signings.

They would give us a strong season. It’s how we get the cash that brings the debate.

Everton FC juror David Wallbank: Everyone at Everton FC needs to stay positive

ANOTHER season is cast to the record books as Everton bowed out in style rather than a whimper.

Newcastle came to Goodison trying to fulfil Alan Pardew’s self-proclaimed prophecy that the Geordies could finish in a Champions League spot. In reality, the Toon left Goodison empty-handed.

Players like Jelavic and Gibson ran the show while Johnny “Hollywood” Heitinga scored a well deserved goal.

Players deserve great credit for showing lots of character, but in truth they owe the supporters a better start to next season.

Everyone at the club needs to remain positive, no dark clouds hanging above Goodison i.e. the Blue Union/feeling sorry for ourselves etc.

Even without a billionaire Evertonians can still be proud and Moyes can still achieve European football.

We have almost run out of Everton retro stuff.
