Left back facing spell on the sidelines
Everton have confirmed that Leighton Baines fractured his toe in Saturday’s Merseyside derby .
The influential left-back could be missing from anything between 10 days and six weeks, “depending on healing time” according to boss Roberto Martinez.
Baines injured a toe in his right foot in a collision with Jordan Henderson during during the first half of Saturday’s epic 3-3 draw at Goodison Park and soldiered on until four minutes after half-time.
A best case scenario would see him miss just two matches, but the likelier outcome is Baines sitting out three or four games – including the trip to Old Trafford on December 4.
