Everton manager Roberto Martinez says he has no new injury concerns ahead of Wednesday’s clash with champions Manchester United.

The Spaniard confirmed all his players had come through Saturday’s fine 4-0 win over Stoke City, meaning Darron Gibson, Arouna Kone and Leighton Baines are his only absentees for the trip to Old Trafford.

“We had no knocks at the weekend, no problems and that was really positive,” he said. “We’ve got a full squad ready for Wednesday.”

Manchester United, meanwhile, will be without the suspended Phil Jones after he collected his fifth yellow card of the season in Sunday’s 2-2 draw at Tottenham Hotspur.

Robin van Persie and Michael Carrick also sat out the game at White Hart Lane with groin and calf injuries respectively.

Match Centre

Though eighth in the Barclays Premier League table, champions Manchester United head into Wednesday’s clash in a rich vein of form.

They are unbeaten in 12 games since a surprise home defeat against West Brom in late September and have scored 10 goals in their last four games.

Two of those came at White Hart Lane on Sunday, where United twice came from behind to draw 2-2 with Andre Villas-Boas’ Tottenham.

Everton, meanwhile, make the trip to Old Trafford on the back of Saturday’s accomplished 4-0 home win over Stoke and will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to seven games.

Having taken points off the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea already this season, Roberto Martinez’ men will be hoping for a notable win – one which would end a 21-year wait for a victory at the Theatre of Dreams.

With seven goals in our last two fixtures, the United defence won’t be relishing the prospect of coming up against an equally rampant Toffees’ outfit. Belgian Romelu Lukaku will be looking to extend a personal record that now reads eight goals in his first nine league games for Everton.

Last Meeting

Manchester United 2-0 Everton, February 2013

First-half goals from Ryan Giggs and Robin van Persie were enough to decide the last meeting of the two sides back in February as the Blues were unable to produce the heroics of their 4-4 comeback 10 months earlier.

On that previous occasion, Everton had scrubbed out a two-goal deficit in the final seven minutes, but a more resilient United side held on throughout the entire second-half as they moved one step closer to the Barclays Premier League crown.

The result also served as revenge for their opening day defeat at Goodison Park when the Blues produced a stunning display in a richly-deserved 1-0 win.
