EVERTON FC will no longer face Galatasaray in the Java Cup after the Turkish club pulled out to be replaced by Nacional of Uruguay.
The Toffees had been scheduled to potentially face Galatasaray at Jakarta’s Gelora Bung stadium on Sunday (July 29), if both sides won their opening games against Malaysia and Indonesia.
But the Super Lig giants have cancelled plans to participate at the last minute, and tournament organisers moved quickly to bring in the Uruguayans.
