Liverpool FC were denied three points in the Merseyside derby after a wonderstrike by Everton FC captain Phil Jagielka in stoppage time.
Brendan Rodgers men had been the dominant side and had taken the lead through a Steven Gerrard free-kick midway through the second half. Mario Balotelli proved a handful for the visitors and hit the bar moments after Liverpool had taken the lead but it wasn’t to be for the Reds and Jagielka scored a stunning equalizer.
