WANTAWAY Everton FC defender Joseph Yobo believes joining Fenerbahce has been the making of his club career – as he declared the Turkish division superior to the Premier League.

The Nigerian centre-half has once again stated that a permanent move from Everton to the Istanbul side will be completed “soon” with the clubs said to be thrashing out a transfer fee.

Yobo has two years remaining on his contract at Goodison Park and the Blues are willing to recall him in time for pre-season training because Fenerbahce are yet to match their valuation of the 31-year-old.

Fenerbahche have qualified for next season’s Champions League and Yobo is keen to remain with them for the new campaign but Everton have not received a bid which satisfies them.

Nevertheless, Yobo remains confident his future will be resolved swiftly.

“Moving to Fenerbahce was the best thing in my career,” said Yobo.

“I joined them because I was eager to win silverware. The 2011 Super Lig title and the Turkish Cup justified that. I hope my permanent move to Fenerbahce is concluded soon.

“The Turkish league is more technical than the Premier League. The Premier League is more physical and most popular in the world, but after playing for seven years in England, I think the Turkish league is of a better quality.”
