EVERTON FC manager David Moyes will already have his transfer wish list filled out for this summer – and clearly we need another striker to complement the outstanding Nikica Jelavic.

But there is one transfer target that should be even more of a priority for the Blues boss than that.

The very first piece of business the Blues should conduct this summer is to tie down the permanent transfer of Steven Pienaar.

Everton should fight tooth and nail to bring the little South African back to Goodison for good.

He belongs with Everton Football Club. Goodison Park is his place.

His performances since he returned from Tottenham have made a massive impact on the team’s performances – his creativity, his vision, his link up play with Leighton Baines, even his goals which wasn’t previously a strong point.

The supporters love him, he appears to have a great bond with the manager and he showed at Molineux again on Sunday how important he can be to Everton.

Before we make any new signings this summer I believe that the future of Steven Pienaar has to be the priority.

That decision is a no-brainer for Moyes, but other decisions may be less straightforward.
