Everton are reportedly closing in on Granada left-back Guilherme Siqueira – a move which could see Leighton Baines complete his much talked about move to Manchester United.

The Toffees have agreed a €6million fee with the Spanish outfit for the Brazilian-born star and the conclusion of the deal is thought to be imminent.

Meanwhile, Everton manager Roberto Martinez says he is continuing to look for new players as he bids to strengthen his squad even further ahead of the new season.

Martinez, who took charge of his second pre-season game last night in a 4-1 win over Accrington Stanley, won’t rule out making further additions in the coming weeks and the Spaniard says he wants different options within his squad.

Finally, Everton and Newcastle have been quoted £5million for Porto defender Rolando.
