Everton FC will have to pay £7m to Tottenham Hotspur to make the loan move of Aaron Lennon permanent according to today’s reports.
Lennon has been used frequently by Roberto Martinez since he made the move from White Hart Lane and he offers a dangerous and quick attacking threat down the right hand side.
It is highly unlikely the winger has a future at White Hart Lane and the London Standard reports £7m is what it would take for Martinez to make the move permanent.
Lennon believes the move north has given him a new lease of life as he tries to reach a level of form that will help him regain a place in the England squad.
Players Everton have been linked with signing
David Moyes wants to reportedly team up again with Bryan Oviedo and is planning a summer move to take the Everton player to Real Sociedad.
Oviedo has been used sparingly by Everton manager Roberto Martinez, making just 11 appearances since returning from a broken leg in September.
Everton have sent scouts to watch Manchester United outcast Nani.
The 28-year-old fell out-of-favour with United’s hierarchy, and found it difficult to regain any kind of momentum after suffering serious hamstring injuries.
Nani currently plus his trade at Portuguese outfit Sporting Lisbon, and is looking to revitalise his Premier League protects – but a return to Old Trafford seems unlikely.
However a fee in the region of £15m is likely to be a step to far for the Merseyside club and Everton fans will hope the reported exit of Kevin Mirallas won’t be used to finance the deal.
