A nine-year-old Everton fan has beaten off the likes of Ross Barkley, Aaron Lennon and Kevin Mirallas to win the club’s Goal of the Month award for January.

George Shaw, who suffers from cerebral palsy, scored in front of the Gwladys Street during half-time of the game against Swansea where he was a guest of Gerard Deulofeu’s.

And in the end young George took 86 per cent of the vote, though he thought Barkley would win.

Watch his reaction to winning where he was also invited to the club’s end of season awards dinner.
