Players of two teams ate out at Amalia Italian restaurant in Campbell Street
Everton FC and Liverpool FC are known for having one of the more friendly rivalries in football and it looks as though that extends to the players as well as fans.
Insider’s pasta loving spy reports that Blues and Reds were united (not United) on a night out at Amalia Italian restaurant in Campbell Street in the city centre.
The players arrived separately, the EFC contingent in their club tracksuits, but it wasn’t long before they were happily posing for photos together thanks to one man … owner Miguel Queipo.

“I am the link,” jokes Miguel. “I know most of them, they come in here all the time, so I bring them together.”
Evidently a good time was had by all, as the players could be seen laughing throughout their meal. Sadly, though, they didn’t take up the restaurant’s famous calzone challenge which sees hungry diners rewarded with an Amalia T-shirt for eating a whole folded pizza (they also get that free too).
“They didn’t do our challenge, they were all eating healthily, but I gave them some shirts anyway,” Miguel tells Insider. “Actually we exchanged shirts, I gave them ours and they gave me team shirts, for Everton and Liverpool, and some boots.”
