Phil Jagielka insists Everton cannot hide from their poor performance in Kiev after the Blues were dumped out of the Europa League.
The Blues were leading the last 16 tie 2-1 following last week’s first leg at Goodison but were thrashed 5-2 inside the Olympic Stadium to exit the competition in shocking fashion.
Kiev took an early lead in front of their frenzied supporters but Everton gave themselves a foothold in the tie when Romelu Lukaku equalised with a special strike four minutes later.

However, the Blues imploded soon after and conceded two goals in four first-half minutes.
Another goal and a clean sheet after the break would have seen Roberto Martinez’s side progress to the quarter-finals on away goals but Dynamo scored twice more to leave hopes of the last eight in tatters.
Jagielka headed home late on to make it 5-2 but it was Kiev who sailed into Friday’s draw.
The Blues’ skipper says his side did not come up to scratch in Ukraine but says fortune was not on their side after Ross Barkley twice hit the woodwork.
“There is a lot of frustration in there on a night everything they hit went in and everything we hit didn’t,” Jagielka said.
“I am not pretending that we played well but if we had the luck they had tonight then it would have been us going through and not them.
“The first was a bit of a special strike, although we’re disappointed he got the shot off, and the third got a deflection but is still a pretty good strike and there other aspects we could’ve done better.
“The post wasn’t our friend tonight and we perhaps didn’t play the occasion as well as we should’ve done.”

Jagielka says there was a belief in the Everton camp that they were good enough to get a result in Kiev and make it through to the quarters.
“The small margins from tonight we need to learn from,” he added.
“We didn’t play particularly well but for long spells we were in the tie. Even the fourth goal, Tim makes a good save and it goes in off the post.
“But it’s ifs, buts and maybes. We are a good team but we didn’t play well tonight.”
