Everton FC striker Samuel Eto’o could be set for a move to Serie A outfit Sampdoria, according to reports today .

Italian website Tutto Mercato Web are reporting that the Cameroon legend has agreed an 18-month loan deal to move to Italy.

Eto’o has scored four goals in 20 appearances in all competitions for the Blues this term. He arrived on a free transfer from Chelsea in the summer.

It is reported that Eto’o will be offered £1.6m a year, plus bonuses, during a one and a half year contract.

Roberto Martinez is set to strengthen his goalkeeping options with a £6m bid for Cardiff stopper David Marshall, according to the Daily Star.

The Blues are looking for options after Tim Howard was ruled out for six weeks with a calf injury suffered on Boxing Day.

Cardiff keeper Marshall impressed during their Premier League run last season, and could be available for transfer in January.

Everton have just Joel Robles and youngster Russell Griffiths to choose from at the moment, and Martinez has confirmed that the Blues will move for a more experience goalkeeper should one be available in January.

The Toffees are preparing themselves for a bid from Liverpool for left-back Luke Garbutt, according to reports today.

The youngster’s contract is set to expire at the end of the season and Liverpool are said to be exploring the possibility of offering Garbutt a deal to move to Anfield.

However the youngster is tipped to sign a new deal at Goodison Park. He’s highly rated by Blues boss Martinez and has impressed when he’s been called into action with the senior squad.
