Everton FC are weighing up a move for Portuguese winger Ukra, according to reports today.
The 26-year-old, full name Andre Filipe Alves Monteiro, has just over a year remaining on his contract at Portuguese outfit Rio Ave and Everton scouts are said to have watched the wideman in action in recent weeks.
Roberto Martinez is said to believe he can snatch the winger for around £2m in the summer as doubts surround the long-term futures of loanees Christian Atsu and Aaron Lennon.
Ukra came through the ranks at Porto, and had loan spells at Braga and Olhanense before moving to Rio Alve in 2013.
He’s scored three goals this season and made seven assists in 19 games.
Everton are set to battle Southampton to clinch the signing of Andre Pierre Gignac, according to reports in France.
Le Parisien reported that the 29-year-old will leave Marseille at the end of the season when his contract expires, and it is said that the player could seek a move to the Premier League.
Gignac has impressed this season, scoring 14 goals for Marcelo Bielsa’s men and he is said to have turned down moves to both QPR and West Ham in the transfer window.
The newspaper reports that he will also have offers from Russia, Ukraine and Turkey but wants to move to a decent Premier League team.
Gignac has 19 caps for France, scoring five goals.
