Everton FC transfer news today sees Roberto Martinez pondering a cut-price swoop for Yevhen Konoplyanka.

The Ukrainian winger nearly joined Liverpool a year ago from Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.

Now he could finally be set for a move to the Premier League as his contract expires in the summer and his club are willing to cash in.

Konoplyanka is liked by Everton boss Roberto Martinez, who could bid if badboy Kevin Mirallas is sold.

Mirallas was hauled off at half-time for taking and missing a penalty ahead of regular spot-kick taker Leighton Baines in the goalless draw with West Brom.

Italian club Roma have already bid €2.5million (£1.87m) for Konoplyanka, who has been linked with Spurs.

Norwegian teenager Edvard Sandvik Tagseth is to spend time training at three Premier League clubs.

The 14-year-old recently spent time at Everton and is set to return in the coming weeks for a further short spell with the Toffees before visiting Manchester United and checking out their facilities.

Tagseth and his family will head to Manchester again in March for a six-day trip to train at City’s academy.

The talented midfielder plays for local side FK Neset and reportedly has an agreement with Rosenborg.

Meanwhile, with Samuel Eto’o heading to Serie A, the Blues will look to bring in Milan forward Stephan El Shaarawy.

The Italian media suggests Milan would be willing to sell the 22-year-old, who exploded onto the scene in Serie A but has found this season a bit more difficult.

El Shaarawy, who can play either out wide or up front, is also reported to be open to leaving AC Milan.

Elsewhere, reports suggest the Blues are lining up a loan move for Aston Villa’s Charles N’Zogbia.

N’Zogbia, who played under Roberto Martinez at Wigan, cost Villa £9.5m in 2011, but has failed to recapture his Wigan form ever since.
