Everton FC midfielder Ross Barkley has once again been linked to Premier League champions Manchester City and it is reported today that Manuel Pellegrini’s side could be ready to make an eye-watering £60m offer for the youngster.
Barkley has been linked with a number of top European clubs but the Blues have no intention of selling the 20-year-old.
The Wavertree born midfielder has four years to run on his contract at Goodison Park but the Manchester Evening News report that City have been quoted a British record £60m sum for the player.
They quote a source close to the player, who says: “Its a Wayne Rooney situation all over again. Yet another player has comes through the brilliant academy set up at Goodison who so called bigger clubs are desperate to get their hands on.
“Ross Barkley is Everton through and through and flourishing under Roberto Martinez.. However, he is ambitious and wants to be at a club on the biggest stage.”
Everton are targeting Galatasaray winger Bruma, and could go head-to-head with Napoli for his signature, that’s according to Turkish Football.
Bruma is reportedly available on a six-month loan deal after failing to nail down a spot in the Turkish outfit’s starting line-up, he has made just seven appearances this term.
The winger signed for Galatasaray in a 10m euro deal one year ago after being named as one of the top youngsters in Europe.

“Bruma is a very promising, young player,” Albayrak said.
“However, he has to be patient, we are trying to work around a foreign player ban and this is having a negative effect on the league.
“We have not given up on Bruma and Bruma has not given up on us.”
