Everton FC are reportedly in a race with Serie A giants Roma for the signature of Algeria international Yacine Brahimi, according to r eports in the Italian media .

The Granada midfielder has enjoyed an impressive World Cup and is said to be looking for the chance to prove himself at a higher level on the European stage.

The Blues are also said to be considering a move for Bosnia and Herzegovina star Muhammed Besic , says The Sunday People .

A fee of £2 million is mooted for the defensive midfielder who currently plies his trade for Hungarian outfit Ferencvaros, and is said to also be interesting Celta Vigo, Sevilla and Werder Bremen.

Roberto Martinez could also move for World Cup star Keylor Navas as a long-term replacement for Tim Howard, reports Here is the City .

The Levante goalkeeper caught the eye with a show-stealing performance for ten-man Costa Rica yesterday, pulling off a string of outstanding saves before stopping a Theofanis Gekas  penalty in the shoot out to give his side the victory.

Navas reportedly has a £6.5 million release clause in his contract but the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid are all said to hold an interest.
