Phil Jagielka, John Stones and James McCarthy were the big winners of our Everton FC end-of-season survey – but it’s not so great for Arouna Kone, Ross Barkley or Tim Howard.

We asked Everton supporters to vote on all the major issues this season – including the best player, the biggest disappointment and goal of the season.

Results were largely negative, with not one voter believing the 2014-15 campaign was above expectations – and only 3% believed it met expectations.

Roberto Martinez was given a similar appraisal, with 40% of voters saying he was poor this season.

There were some splits in the question regarding transfer strategy, with 28% wanting to prioritise a winger, 21% a striker and 20% a central midfielder.

We also asked for names of players the fans would like to see at Goodison Park. Gerard Deulofeu, Nolito and Charlie Austin were amongst the most frequent mentioned – while Tom Cleverley came up a fair few times before his move to Goodison was confirmed.

Jagielka, Stones and McCarthy were amongst the players voted as player of the season, while Jagielka also featured – unsurprisingly – in the vote for best goal.

But Barkley was amongst the biggest disappointments, as was Howard, who was also highly-ranked amongst players who Blues want to see leave this summer.
