Everton defender Shane Duffy feels his loan spell at Yeovil Town has seen him return to Goodison Park as a better player.
The centre back made 39 appearances for the Glovers as they were relegated to League One.
“At the start it took time to get going because I hadn’t played football for a while,” Duffy said. “But then you realise the games come so thick and fast quickly after each other. I definitely enjoyed playing football for a full season for the first time.
“It was a good challenge for me and I enjoyed having to defend so much. It was just disappointing that we ended up going down, but I really enjoyed it and hopefully it will stand me in good stead for the future.
“I was gutted for the lads because they put so much effort in. With me going back [to Everton] it was a different feeling compared to them.
“Every point was a good point. It was an experience I have never been in before. It was so intense – you were looking out for results every week after your match.”
Right folks, that’s all from me. I’ll be back tomorrow at 7am with all the latest news and views. Kristian Walsh is standing by to take the wheel.

Guess the fact that Monaco are now changing managers could delay #Everton’s attempt to get Lacina Tarore back on loan sorted

Seamus Coleman says Roberto Martinez has helped him add goals to his game this year.
He told the clubs website: “I loved it from day one, really.
“He told me to keep going from where I left off the last season and he would put his bits into my game. He’s done that and I have got a couple of goals this season.
“I’ve gone to another level in terms of goals. It’s something that I was missing so hopefully I can score some next season as well.
“As a full-back, your job is to defend first and foremost, but this manager likes to attack.”
Enjoyed another great day in camp and meeting all the media today. Road to Brazil is here and boys all… http://t.co/ZIDRlJcPO6

Ajax Cape Town’s South African youngster Keagan Dolly says that he wants to follow in the footsteps of his idol – Steven Pienaar.
The 21-year-old said: “I have always looked up to Schillo [Pienaar] as my role model growing up in Westbury. He knows I’m his self-confessed number one fan. That is why I want to be successful, like him. I have no plans to leave Ajax. Schillo also stayed here until he was signed by Ajax Amsterdam.”

Roberto Martinez says that he may have to be patient in the transfer market because of the World Cup this summer.
The Blues boss believes the World Cup could delay any potential deals to the final days of the window.
“Recruitment is going to be important,” Martinez said.
“The right characters need to come to the club and we need to be large enough in terms of numbers to face every competition with a real desire to hit good performances.
“I do feel we have to be really clear in what we need, who we bring in, and it is going to take until the last day of the window to finalise the squad.
“It is a World Cup year and things will get delayed and certain situations will be worth us waiting until the last second to see if they happen or not and that is something we are well in control of.
“We have our targets and we have highlighted the positions we need to bring players in.”
